High Gallery is thrilled to present Thomas Rentmeister’s first solo exhibition in Poland titled Mesh.
The work «Shady Place» is standing in the corner of the gallery’s space, it is constructed of fabric and galvanised steel (expanded metal high rib lath). The metal mesh is commonly used as a backing for a wall plaster use. It's shiny and silvery, it can be formed, stretched and bended in all the directions; the network of wire redefines the space and cuts it in multiple pieces. The top of the structure is covered with the lying softly artist's clothes.
Thomas Rentmeister (b. 1964 in Reken / Westphalia) lives and works in Berlin.
